More than 50 firefighters from across Northern Ireland were involved in tackling a gorse fire in Newcastle, County Down.

The blaze behind Shanaghmore Outdoor Pursuits Centre was reported at about 1600 BST on Thursday.

The fire covered more than four acres of land.

Neil McGrath of the NI Fire and Rescue Service described the blaze as "substantial" and said crews had to work hard to bring it under control.
