Police and customs officers seized the cash during a joint operation

Two men who were arrested as part of an investigation into a suspected multi-million pound fraud are still being questioned by detectives.

They were detained in connection with money laundering offences in a joint operation involving police and customs officers.

Police later revealed that £100,000 in cash was seized following the arrests.

The men, who are both from Newry, were arrested separately in Banbridge and Lisburn on Friday afternoon.

HM Revenue & Customs said the alleged fraud also involved drug trafficking.
