Search resumes for father and son

An air and sea search for a missing father and his 13-year-old son is set to resume along the County Cork coast.

The 44-year-old Polish man and the boy went missing after going fishing on Sunday.

Fishing tackle and other gear was found at Cod's Head on Tuesday. A car was also discovered in the area.

The man was working as a baker while his wife and only child remained in Poland. The boy was on holiday while visiting his father.

The search for the pair was called off on Tuesday night and is due to resume later.

It is feared they may have been swept from the rocks at Cod's Head in high winds and sea conditions.

Irish Naval divers are due to join the search alongside Coastguard units and lifeboats.
