Woman charged with man's murder

A 21-year-old woman has been charged with murdering Marek Muszynski.

Mr Muszynski, 40, originally from Poland, was found murdered in Newry, last week. She is to appear in court on Tuesday.

Earlier an 18-year-old man was remanded in custody charged with his murder.

Adrian Gregory Cunningham of Lisgullion Park, spoke only in court to confirm his birth date, at a hearing at Newry Magistrates Court on Monday night.

A detective told the court he believed he could connect the accused with the murder.

He was remanded in custody until 22 July.

A 16-year-old male has also been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The charge is connected to an assault on another male in the Monaghan Street in Newry before the death of Mr Muszynski.

A 44-year-old woman also questioned by detectives over the murder has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
