Fire at city school 'suspicious'

Police say the fire at the school may have been started deliberately

A fire at a school in north Belfast may have been started deliberately, police have said.

The blaze at Saint Patrick's College, Bearnageeha, on the Antrim Road was discovered shortly before 0200 BST.

It is understood that there was scorch and smoke damage to a classroom. It is the second attack on the school in a month.

On 11 June, a petrol bomb attack caused extensive smoke damage to a classroom. Police have appealed for information.
