Mrs Doyle - Pauline McLynn - from Father Ted will be on hand with tea and singer Neil Hannon will be serving up a few divine songs.

This year's West Belfast festival promises an August to remember.

In its 21st year, the festival has come of age. The line-up includes arnarcho punk band Chumbawamba, the Stereo MCs and the London Community Gospel Choir.

The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, is to deliver the annual PJ McGrory Human Rights lecture.

Chumbawamba is to lead the "Love Music Hate Racism" night and the London gospel choir will perform at Clonard Monastery.

Actress and writer Pauline McLynn, of Father Ted fame, is appearing at the "Scribes at the Rock" event.

Comedian Alexei Sayle is also on the programme of 250 events.

Féile an Phobail has made a name for celebrating Irish language, culture and the arts.
