Teen found with 'puncture wound'

An 18-year-old man has been injured in an assault in Bangor, County Down.

Police were called to a house in Church Street at about 1330 BST on Sunday and found the man with a puncture wound to the abdomen.

He was taken to hospital and is said to be stable. Meanwhile, a man in his 60s has been attacked in south Armagh.

He was assaulted by a gang of men on the Blaney Road in Crossmaglen at about 1830 BST on Sunday. They demanded money before escaping in a car.

In Ballymena, a 29-year-old man sustained head injuries in an assault in Albert Place early on Sunday. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

And in Armagh, a 32-year-old man was attacked in an alley near Lonsdale Court at about 0700 BST on Saturday.

He was set upon by a number of men and sustained head and leg injuries.

It is believed the victim may have been attacked with an iron bar and a bottle.

He is recovering in hospital. Police appealed for anyone who witnessed the assault or who noticed a group of men in the area to contact them.
