A man aged 38 scaled the 60 metre high Belfast wheel on Monday
It is understood the man, who was wearing only a pair of shorts, was a member of the Travelling community who had been involved in a protest at City Hall
After two-and-a-half hours the man started to make his way off the wheel
A specialist team of firefighters climbed up to lead him to safety
The climber was arrested after safely descending, but the emergency services were prepared to receive a casualty
