Murder inquiry over city stabbing

Police have begun a murder inquiry after a 20-year-old man who was stabbed in Lisburn died in hospital.

Darren Roberts, who was from the Lisburn area, was attacked on Millbrook Road at about 0200 BST on Saturday.

An 18-year-old man also suffered a stab wound to his side. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Three men aged 20, 21 and 23 have been arrested. Detectives appealed for anyone who witnessed a disturbance or who has information to contact them.
