Man held in kidnap investigation

A 28-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the kidnapping of a woman and her child in County Down.

The woman and her four-year-old son were taken from their home in Killough to south Belfast where they were held hostage for 12 hours last May.

A substantial amount of cash was also seized by detectives during search operations in north Belfast and Carryduff.

A man has been taken to Antrim police station for questioning.

Another man has already been charged in connection with the incident.
