Although more traditionally associated with a china shop, a runaway bull has been captured on CCTV doing some 'on the hoof' shopping in an Irish supermarket.
The animal had been at the local mart in Ballinrobe, County Mayo, when it escaped and made off in search of pastures new.
Having passed a nearby Tesco, it entered Cummins' SuperValu much to the amazement of staff and shoppers.
The bull then made its way down an aisle to the store area, where it had a good look about, before turning on its heel, sorry hoof, and going out the same automatic door through which it had come in.
Shop owner John Cummins said it was "very fortunate" that nobody came directly in the animal's path "or it could have been very bad news".
The only damage done by the bull, which was recaptured a short time later, was to a number of fruit and vegetable stands.
Mr Cummins said the incident proved beyond all doubt that meat sold at his store was "fresh and fully traceable".
