Dissident suspects are questioned

Three people are being questioned

Three people have been arrested at a flat in Dublin by police investigating dissident republican activity.

Two men and a woman, all in their 30s, were arrested in Ulster Street in Phibsboro, on Sunday.

It was originally reported three pipe bombs had been found but a spokesperson said no explosive material or bomb-making components were found.

However, it is suspected five pieces of pipe which were seized were to have been used to make devices.

The street was closed off while members of the Irish army bomb squad dealt with the objects.
