A man has been shot dead outside a house in Dublin in a gangland killing.

Shay O'Byrne, 27, was shot three times in the back by a gunman in the driveway of a house at Tymon North Park in Tallaght at about 2030 GMT on Friday.

A 26-year-old woman was shot in the leg. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Three men - one in his late teens and the other two in their mid-20s - were arrested in the Crumlin area of the city on Friday night after the murder.

They are being held under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

The shooting is being linked to a feud between rival gangs in the Crumlin and Drimnagh areas of Dublin.
