Police are investigating a possible racist motive behind an attack on two Polish men in Antrim town at the weekend.

They were walking in the Bush Manor about midday on Saturday when they were attacked by a group of up to ten men.

A police spokesperson said one of the victims was struck a number of times with a hammer.

The other man was attacked with a knife and was treated for a small puncture wound.
