Fatal crash teen's name released

Accident scene
The accident happened on the Sandbank Road in Hilltown

The teenager who died in a road accident in County Down on Sunday evening was 17-year-old Ciaran McAleenan from Hilltown.

It happened on the Sandbank Road in Hilltown at about 1830 GMT.

Two other people were taken to hospital following the accident.

It is understood one remains in a critical condition.
