Man is charged with wife's murder

court

The husband of a woman who was found lying dead on the patio of her home in Dublin last week, has been charged with her murder.

Eamonn Lillis, 51, of Windgate Road, Howth was brought before Dublin District Court on Monday charged with murdering 46-year-old Celine Cawley.

The former model and founder of a television company was found dead outside her Windgate Road last Monday.

Mr Lillis was remanded to appear at Cloverhill District Court on Tuesday.

In court on Monday, a Detective Sergeant said Mr Lillis replied "nothing to say" when he was charged.
