Man injured after iron bar attack

A man has been attacked by a gang wielding an iron bar in north Belfast.

The assault happened at the Fortwilliam onslip, close to the Shore Road, shortly after 0545 GMT on Sunday.

Police said two men were on their way to work when they were approached by a group of men.

One of the men sustained injuries to his head, face, arm and leg in the attack. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
