Gang robs 80-year-old man in home

Police have appealed for information

An 80-year-old man has been robbed in his home near Cookstown, County Tyrone, the police have said.

It happened in the village of Tullaghoge at about 1830 GMT on Friday after four men forced their way into his home.

One man held the victim in a room while the other three ransacked his house.

They fled with an amount of money. The victim was not physically injured but was left badly shaken by the burglary, police said.

Detectives in Cookstown have appealed for anyone who noticed anything suspicious to contact them.
