Engineering company FG Wilson is to lay-off 25 agency workers at its plants in Belfast and County Antrim.

The workers, taken on from a recruitment company, worked in the Larne, Monkstown and Springvale factories.

A spokesman for FG Wilson said the lay-offs "were a result of market conditions and production levels."

Meanwhile, Asda supermarket has recruited 120 temporary and permanent workers at its store in Enniskillen.

The supermarket said it was partly in response to large numbers of shoppers coming to Enniskillen from border counties in the Republic of Ireland.
