Family rescued as lorry hits home

The cause of the crash has not yet been established

A young family has been rescued from their house in Lisburn after a lorry crashed into the side of it in the early hours of the morning.

The couple in their 20s and their two-year-old daughter were not injured.

They are the only people living in a row of houses which is part of a new development at Beechfield Mews in the Knockmore area.

The lorry driver was shaken and suffered cuts and bruises, but has been discharged from hospital.

There was concern at one stage about a gas leak but it is now under control.

Some people working in the area were moved out of it for a time.
