Teachers to receive pupil report

Striking teachers
Strike action at Movilla High School lasted three weeks

A report on a pupil, who was at the centre of strike action taken by teachers at a County Down school, is to be given to a teachers union on Friday.

An independent assessor was appointed to report on the needs of the pupil, who was alleged to have assaulted a teacher at Movilla High School.

Twenty-five teachers went on strike for three weeks in October after a dispute over how the pupil should be taught.

The NASUWT union has agreed to continue negotiations with the education board.
