Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to a crash in which four officers died.

Senior investigating officer Inspector Ian Kennedy said they had already spoken to a number of people who tried to rescue the policemen from their 4X4.

He appealed for any witnesses who had not yet spoken to police or who may have seen the Shogun to contact them.

Their vehicle crashed and burst into flames on the Warrenpoint to Rostrevor Road at about 0400 GMT on Sunday.

The men were answering a call for help from fellow officers.

The victims - Declan Greene, 39, Kenny Irvine, 30, Kevin Gorman, 24, and James Magee, 27 - all came from the wider Mourne area.
