Chart-topping Irish band The Script, will be among a host of acts at a special concert in Belfast for this year's BBC Children in Need.

R'n'B star Lemar, Irish singer Enya and Belfast musician Brian Kennedy will also perform at the King's Hall gig.

The concert on Friday is being hosted by Stephen Nolan, Zoe Salmon and John Daly.

It will be screened from 1900 GMT on BBC ONE NI and is being streamed live online for the first time.

John Daly said: "I am delighted to be part of BBC Children in Need again this year, as it's always a great night of live entertainment and what a fantastic line-up of artists we have performing on stage.

"We want as many people as possible to get on the phone and call in and pledge money for this year's appeal."

The cash is already rolling in for this year's event, after Newry man Gerard Rice's bid of £1,600 netted him the chance to operate the 300ft Samson crane at Harland & Wolff in Belfast, with Pudsey as his co-driver.
