Three hit by buses in city centre

A teenage girl died in an accident on Tuesday evening

Three people have been hit by buses in Belfast city centre since Saturday, police have revealed.

On Tuesday, Ciara Park, 16, from Dunmurry, died after she was hit by a bus at Royal Avenue, near the junction with Castle Place.

A 48-year-old man is in a critical condition in intensive care after an accident at the weekend.

On Wednesday, a girl was hit by a bus as she stepped off a kerb, but was not injured.

The man was hit by a bus at the junction of Donegall Square North and Donegall Square West on Saturday at about 1700 GMT.

An investigation into the circumstances of the teenager's death is now under way.
