Man dies after traffic accident

A man has died in a road accident in a County Londonderry village.

Ivor Millen, who was 51 and from Macosquin, near Coleraine, was struck by a van on the Strand Road on Friday evening.

The police have asked anyone with information about the accident to get in touch.

Mr Millen's death brings to 87 the number of people killed in traffic accidents on Northern Ireland's roads so far this year.
