Extension in town murder probe

Kenneth Nicholl was found murdered in an alleyway

Police questioning a 28-year-old man about the murder of Larne father-of-one Kenneth Nicholl have been granted an extension.

The 28-year-old's body was found in an alleyway in the County Antrim town last Sunday (2 November). He had been stabbed several times.

Detective Chief Inspector Jonathan Roberts said Mr Nicholl had met a "violent death".

His body was discovered between Herbert Avenue and Waterloo Road.
