Couple robbed by gunmen in home

Police

A couple have been threatened by gunmen who broke into their home in north Belfast on Monday night.

Shortly before 2100 GMT, three men with handguns entered the house at Altnagarron Mews, off Forthriver Road.

They pointed the guns at a woman and demanded money before ransacking the house.

When the woman's husband returned they also demanded money from him, then fled with two laptops, two mobile phones, personal documents and other items.

None of the occupants of the house - including two children - were physically injured, but the woman was left badly shaken.

One of the robbers was described as being approximately 35 years old, short and of skinny build, clean shaven with large blue eyes.

It is believed he was wearing a black woollen hat, blue jeans, a dark fleece and dark boots and spoke with a local accent.

The second man was about 32, tall, of a broad build with brown hair. He was clean shaven but with what is described as very bad skin, and was dressed all in black.

It is believed this man may speak fluent Spanish.

The third man was described as tall and broadly built.

Police want anyone who can help with their investigation to contact them.
