Thousands of homes in Belfast are without power

Thousands of homes in the south Belfast area were without power for a time overnight, Northern Ireland Electricity has said.

The company has said electricity has now been returned to all the homes affected.

It said a fault had developed with an underground cable in the Balmoral Avenue area.

About 4,400 homes in the Balmoral and Finaghy areas were affected at one time.
