Teachers at the school have been striking

A boy has been charged with an assault alleged to have taken place at Movilla High School in Newtownards and will appear in juvenile court in November.

Teachers belonging to the NASUWT union at the school went on strike following an alleged incident involving one of their colleagues.

Police said they had investigated the matter and passed a file to the Public Prosecution Service.

Tuesday is the seventh day of the strike.

Talks are due to take place in the Labour Relations Agency on Wednesday.

Negotiations between the teachers' union and the South Eastern Education Board were adjourned last Friday.
