Roads closed over security alert

A security alert in County Fermanagh has continued into a third day.

A suspicious object was found at Wattlebridge near Newtownbutler after a security operation which began on Saturday.

Roads have been closed in the area, which is close to the main Clones to Cavan Road. The Gardai have also been involved in the operation.

The alert was sparked by two separate telephone warnings to police about a suspicious device in the area.

A PSNI spokeswoman said police were asking people to be vigilant and not to touch anything suspicious.
