Woman dies following house fire

An investigation has begun into the cause of the fire

A 73-year-old woman has died in hospital following a house fire in Ballymoney, County Antrim.

The woman had been rescued from a house on Rowan Road on Wednesday 1 October.

Police officers were called to the house at about 2000 BST, but firefighters had already got the woman out of the building.

The woman was taken to hospital but died from her injuries on Friday. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
