Three men jailed over rape case

scales of justice

Three Lithuanian nationals have been jailed for kidnapping and raping a woman who was also from Lithuania.

Saulius Petraitis, 24, and Audrius Sliogeris, 23, pleaded guilty to counts of rape, kidnap and false imprisonment. They were jailed for 14 years.

Vitalijus Petraitis, 22, was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to rape.

They attacked the woman and held her hostage in a house in Northern Ireland over a weekend several years ago.

The court heard that another man from Lithuania, identified only as Julius, intended to sell the woman into prostitution in the Republic.
