Supermarket giant Tesco has announced it will create more than 350 new jobs across Northern Ireland this year.

Some of the jobs will be in Ballymena, where it opens a new store next month.

The company also unveiled expansion plans for its store at Knocknagoney in east Belfast, which is expected to be in business by the end of the year.

The announcement came on the same day Tesco reported a steady rise in half-year profits, despite the tough retailing environment.
