Man arrested after city collision

Police

A man has been arrested and another is in hospital following a collision on the Upper Newtownards Road in Belfast.

A man, thought to be in his 20s, was struck by a car close to Oakland Avenue at about 0650 BST.

The extent of his injuries are not yet known.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 0845 6008000.
