Man brings bomb into police base

A pipe bomb has been made safe after being brought into a County Tyrone police station by an unsuspecting member of the public.

The Army dealt with the device, which saw the police station in Dungannon being cordoned off overnight.

The man brought the device, which police said was viable, to the station in his car after finding it.

A spokeswoman said anyone who discovers a suspicious object should not to touch it but contact police immediately.
