Radiographer guilty of child porn

Ivor Gilfellan will be sentenced at Londonderry Crown Court next month.

A radiographer at Altnagelvin hospital in Derry has been put on the sex offenders register after downloading 26,000 indecent images of children.

Ivor Gilfillan, 52, of Burnally Road in Limavady, admitted downloading and distributing the images between June 2004 and last February.

The court heard they included the most serious category five level.

Gilfillan, who has been suspended by the hospital, was remanded in custody until he is sentenced next month.
