Man faces organised crime charges

Belfast Magistrates Court

A 34-year-old man is to appear in court in Belfast to face charges connected to the operations of an international organised crime gang.

He has been charged with three firearms offences and four drugs offences.

He is also accused of three proceeds of crime offences and one trademark violation, and is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Saturday.

A number of people have been arrested in recent days in Belfast, Dublin and the Netherlands.

A major operation, involving the PSNI, Gardai and Dutch authorities, was launched last July following a request from the PSNI.
