Maghera

Police are advising motorists to expect delays following the main July 12th parade in Maghera. At certain times through traffic will be diverted - diversions will be clearly signposted. Please note diversionary routes are not suitable for heavy/large vehicles.

Anyone not planning on attending the main parade in Maghera is advised to avoid the area completely.

Tyrone & Fermanagh

Motorists intending to travel on the N2/A5 Dublin to Derry route on Saturday (July 12) are being advised that the village of Aughnacloy will be closed for several hours because of a 'Twelfth' parade.

The village centre, which is on the most direct route, will be closed between 11am and 5pm. The parade will assemble at Caledon Road and match to Dungannon Road.

Cross-border traffic should divert between Clogher and Monaghan, or from Monaghan via Middletown and Armagh or Caledon to the M1. Both routes avoid Aughnacloy altogether.

The Aughnacloy parade is one of four main Orange demonstrations in Tyrone and Fermanagh.

In Omagh the parade route will be closed to traffic at 10.45am and reopened at 5pm. Where possible, traffic should avoid the Crevenagh Road, Irishtown Road, town centre, John Street, Church Street, Georges Street and Campsie areas.

Traffic on the throughpass will not be directly affected.

In Kesh, the parade route will be closed from 10.45am to 5pm.

Traffic travelling from Co Donegal and Belleek should use the Shore Road, approaching Enniskillen from the Garrison side.

A local diversion will be in place, however, large vehicles are advised to avoid the area completely.

The parade will approach the village from the Omagh Road, and travel along Main Street and Rossculban Avenue towards Ardess.

The centre of Benburb will be closed to traffic between 11am and 5pm. Local diversions will be in place, but through traffic is advised to seek alternative routes.

The parade will assemble at Derryfibble Road and travel through the village to Blacktown Road.

Traffic approaching the village to attend the route should do so from the Moy direction, where all the car parking facilities are available.

Apart from these major demonstrations, travellers should expect to encounter 'feeder' parades both morning evening at other villages and towns. Extra time should be allowed for journeys.
