15-year-old is sexually assaulted

A 15-year-old girl has been sexually assaulted in Coleraine.

The victim was attacked by a man some time between 0230 BST and 0330 BST on Sunday.

He approached and accompanied the girl as she walked from the Ballysally estate to the Crescent area where he attacked her.

The pair first walked through an area known locally as the Cornfield, the Millburn estate and a laneway at the back of houses on the Bushmills Road.

Anyone who noticed the teenager or the man as they made their way from Ballysally to the Crescent is urged to contact the police at Coleraine on 0845 600 8000, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
