Pipe bomb attack at village house

Police tape/car

There has been an overnight pipe bomb attack at a house in the County Tyrone village of Moygashel.

The device exploded at the back of the property in Bleachfield Park shortly before 0200 BST on Saturday.

No-one was injured, however, a door was badly damaged. Police in Dungannon have appealed to anyone with information about the incident to contact them.

The town's mayor, Lord Morrow, said those responsible were guilty of "taking the law into their own hands".

"I utterly condemn and deplore what has happened. People must realise that we're supposed to be living in a civilised state and they should not be engaged in such activities at all."
