Police tape/car

A 45-year-old man has been charged with possession of a firearm and armed robbery.

The charges relate to a robbery at an off-licence in the Cromac Street area of Belfast on Friday night.

Shortly before 2015 BST police received a report the premises had been entered by two men, one armed with a handgun.

They forced staff to hand over cash before escaping into the Gasworks. The man is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday.
