Police hurt in stolen car crash

Police have appealed for information

Two police officers have been injured in a collision with a stolen car in south Belfast.

It happened on the Upper Malone Road area at about 0400 BST on Tuesday. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The car, a Volkswagen Passat, had been reported stolen in a burglary in Glengormely on Monday.

After the collision, two men ran off towards Queen's playing fields. Police have appealed for information.
