Diarmuid Flood, 41, died from a single gunshot wound to the head and his wife Lorraine, 38, sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Irish police said that the cause of death of their two children, Julie, 5, and Mark, 6, was not yet known.

The family were found dead at their home in Clonroche on 26 April.
