Stolen birds reunited with owner

Cockatoos stolen during a robbery at a pet shop in County Londonderry have been reunited with their owner.

The birds, worth more than £2,500, were stolen from a shop in Catherine Street, Limavady, on Wednesday night along with two corn snakes and a king snake.

The birds and the snakes were found during a police search of a house in the Portrush area on Friday evening.

A 20-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested and have been released on bail pending inquiries.
