Man due in court after burglary

The incident happened in the Old Westland Road area
The incident happened in the Old Westland Road area

A 23-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated vehicle taking and a number of driving offences.

It is understood the charges relate to a burglary at the home of a 69-year-old woman on Wednesday.

A Vauxhall Astra car was also stolen during the incident at Old Westland Road in north Belfast.

The man is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Thursday.
