Boy injured in town hit-and-run

A nine-year-old boy has been treated in hospital after a hit-and-run incident in Comber, County Down.

He was struck by a dark coloured car, possibly a Vauxhall, in the Longlands Drive area of the town shortly after 2000 GMT on Saturday.

The boy received treatment for bruising and also shock.

Police in Newtownards have asked anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any relevant information to contact them.
