Three still held in murder probe

Three people are still being questioned about the murder of a man in west Belfast.

John Mongan, 30, a member of the Travelling community, was attacked with machetes and hatchets by a gang who burst into his Fallswater Street home.

The killing, which happened on Thursday, was witnessed by the man's pregnant wife and two children.

Police arrested two men, aged 32 and 37, and a 68-year-old woman in Londonderry.

Police appealed for calm in the area and for anyone with information to contact them.
