100 jobs in communications deal
Vodafone sign
Perlico is a subsidiary of Vodafone
About 100 new jobs are to be created in Belfast by Gem Call Centre.

The company has secured a deal with Irish communications company Perlico, a subsidiary of Vodafone.

Gem will also, through Perlico, be providing services to Vodafone beginning in March. Vodafone acquired Perlico in November 2007.

Gem CEO Philip Cassidy said: "This new contract will consolidate our partnership with Perlico and, ultimately, Vodafone."

He added: "It is not only a positive demonstration of the company's confidence in the skills and capabilities of Gem's workforce, but also Northern Ireland's ability to attract quality inward investment."
