Car smash house may be demolished

The car crashed into the side of the house
A house in Lisburn may have to be demolished after it was hit by a car on Sunday.

Severe structural damage was caused to the Laurelhill Road home when the vehicle smashed through its garden wall and ran into the side of the house.

The car then caught fire. An elderly couple who were sleeping inside were unhurt.

A 19-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the crash has been released on bail.

Structural engineers are assessing the damage.
