A man originally from north Belfast has been found beaten to death in Philadelphia.

Seamus O'Neill, 60, was discovered on Friday by his wife and brother in the basement of a bar. Police said he had suffered head injuries.

Mr O'Neill was originally from Duncairn Parade in Belfast. He had worked at another nearby bar in the US city for several years.

Two workers at the bar where he was found are being questioned.

His body had been wrapped in tarpaulin and tied up with tape.

It is believed some of Mr O'Neill's relatives from Northern Ireland have travelled to Philadelphia.
